Whitelock Blvd
One of my favorite running/walking sidewalks is off of Big Horn and Whitelock. I drop my kids off to school and then head over there to get my daily exercise in.

Sacramento Zoo
We had a great time at the Sac Zoo today. They have a great variety of animals and is not overwhelming. Great for younger kids!

Books We Love
Now that we are signed up for the Sacramento Library Summer Reading Challenge we are grabbing a bunch of books every week.

Pederson Park
Pederson Park is located off of Laguna Blvd and Franklin Blvd. It’s tucked in a quiet and shaded neighborhood. This park has been redone recently and makes for a great spot to check out.

District 56
District 56 is located off of Big Horn and Elk Grove Blvd. It’s a great place to workout with a great track and workout equipment.

Jamie’s Cafe
Jamie’s Cafe is located off of Laguna Blvd near the Apple buildings. My daughter and I were excited to try it because we love any breakfast place.

Effie Yeaw Nature Preserve
Effie Yeaw has been on my list of hikes since we first moved here. It’s a popular spot, an easy hike and close to Elk Grove! It’s located in Carmicheal which is about 36 minutes away. The kids and I met up with Felicia Leo Kemp@familytrailtime She is a blogger, working mom and avid hiker.…

Wackman Park
Wackman Park is located off of Laguna Blvd and Laguna Park Drive. I wasn’t expected much from this park but I was pleasantly surprised.

Burney Falls
Burney Falls is located three and a half hours north of Elk Grove but it is truly worth the drive!
