Living in Elk Grove with all the different school schedules (Track, Modified Traditional and Traditional) some parents have to worry about where their kids will go during summer or off track time. There are only a few options in town and Elk Grove Kids Camp is one of them!

They offer half and full day camp with activities ranging from art, swimming and more for ages 5-12 years old. Another benefit of Elk Grove Kids Camp is you can book any day you want. It doesn’t have to be a full week or full day.

My daughters were able to enjoy a week at Elk Grove Kids Camp and they had a blast! At the beginning of the day kids come in and enjoy games, toys and puzzles. Once everyone checks in the group heads out on a hike to Del Meyer Trail or Mendoza Park. Del Meyer Trail is great for seeing birds, ducks and even river otters. Mendoza Park is a gated park near the train tracks where the kids can see trains passing by. Both are great options to get outside before the heat comes.

After their outside adventure they come back for snacks and art. My daughters loved doing painting and crafts. Everyday is different so one day they did a science experiment and the next water coloring.

For the second half of the day the kids get to go swimming. They have to take a swim test to ensure they are able to swim safely. My one daughter was so nervous about this but she was so proud of herself after passing. Swimming is available year round and your child can also book swim lessons during this time in the summer. After swimming they changed, had a snack and did indoor activities. This is the time they can relax and have access to books, coloring, games, puzzles and more!
Both my daughters and I loved Elk Grove Kids Camp. I loved the flexibility of the schedule at a reasonable price and the kids loved swimming everyday.
Camps are available Monday-Friday from 8:30 – 4:30 year round.
