I know summer is supposed to be a free for all. Screens all day, junk food and late bed times!
We have tried to go with the flow many times and it just makes pure chaos for our family. Everyone fights, they are tired and moody. So I have to realize my kids love structure. They love seeing what is planned or what is to come.
Every summer I make a general schedule and expectations on the fridge. Sometimes we do what is on the list and other times we wing it, but overall the kids love it. Below is my schedule for the kids.
| Time | Task | Completed |
| 8:00-9:00 | Breakfast, Dressed, check list | |
| 9:00-11:00 | Workbook, Check list, snack | |
| 11:00-12:00 | Art, legos, puzzle, chalk | |
| 12:00 | Lunch time | |
| 12:30-1:30 | Video game time | |
| 2:00-5:00 | Mom Home/ Daily activity | |
| 6:00 | Dinner Time | |
| 7:00-8:30 | Check list/ Video Games | |

We also have theme days that we try to follow. My kids love to ask me 20 times a day “What are we doing today?!?!” So I put together a general schedule.
