Laguna- Elk Grove Kiwanis is an amazing organization that serves our community in so many ways. I am sure you have seen the name around town but never really knew what they did or what they are about. This great group runs fundraisers and uses that money for community events.
Below are just a few events they support:
- Stockings for Chemo Patients
- School Backpack Projects
- Trauma Dolls for Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento
- Valentine’s Day Cards for Seniors and Chemo Patients
- Toy and Wrapping Paper Collection for CSD
- Kohl’s ChildSpree
- Magnet Fishing with CSD
- Books, Blankets & Bears
- Firefighter Appreciation Baskets
- Relay For Life
- Heart Association Stroke Walk
- Kiwanis Kid’s Summer Camp
To earn money for these programs they fundraise by doing fundraisers like Carnitas & Margaritas, Egg My Yard, and Breakfast with Superheroes.

This club is great for people that are busy, because there are several ways you can help. There is one club meeting a month, plus at least two social opportunities and 3 hours of community service offered. They meet every 4th Thursday at 7 p.m. in Elk Grove. Send an email at kiwanisleg@gmail.com to find out where the monthly meeting is currently being held. If you are not able to donate time please look into the upcoming fundraisers!
