Kids eat free on Mondays is what got me! Moving from the Bay area 5 years ago we have not found a Mexican restaurant close to what we are used to. If anyone is from the Bay Area all I have to say is La Vic’s red sauce….Oh man how I miss that place.
Sabor A Mexico is located off of Bond Ave and Waterman. It’s a cute family owned restaurant with very friendly staff. The chips and salsa are amazing and fresh! They couldnt keep enough on our table.
Our family was excited to try this place since we heard great things about it. We all ordered something different to get a variety.
6 year old- Kids Cheese Quesadilla ( Didn’t like it, but come to find out they put Parmesan cheese on the outside. Guess it was too “fancy” for her. So next time ask for them to not add it if your kid is picky like mine.)
11 year old- Enchilada and grilled chicken burrito ( He loved the burrito)
14 year old – Tamale and El Pastor Tostada ( Both were really good. The el pastor had pineapple in it which was surprisingly delicious)
Me- Super Burrito with shredded beef (Pretty good but ate off of everyone else’s plates)
Husband- Carne Asada tacos and shredded beef enchiladas (Their tacos are the best with the onions and cilantro on top!)
This place didn’t disappoint! I am excited to try the fajitas next time since that seemed to be a popular item. It’s also very easy to call in and pick up! We will be coming back to enjoy the free kids meals, chips and more!
